As a Behavioral Health Therapist at our GALENA PARK ISD - Almatha Clark Taylor Clinic (ACT), located at 13940 Bonham St., Houston, TX 77015, you'll embark on an inspiring journey to transform lives through meaningful therapy and compassionate care.

In this role, you will be pivotal in providing high-quality psychotherapy to our patients, crafting an environment where healing and growth can flourish. As a key player in our multidisciplinary team, your expertise will bridge gaps and build pathways for improved behavioral health outcomes.

You'll engage with diverse patient populations, developing tailored treatment strategies that cater to individual, couples, and family needs, while leveraging your psychotherapy skills to address childhood disorders effectively. Your contributions will be integral to fostering a healthier, more resilient community.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality psychotherapy to patients with identified behavioral health needs, ensuring exceptional care and attention.
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and tailor individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Collaborate proactively with non-physician providers to orchestrate comprehensive psychiatric treatment plans.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient encounters, ensuring all interactions and efforts are promptly recorded.
  • Regularly reassess patients to inform the development of new treatment plans, applying well-practiced psychotherapeutic modalities, particularly for childhood disorders.

What You'll Need

  • Master's Degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences from an accredited institution—your academic background is the foundation of our innovative practice.
  • Current Texas License as an LCSW, LPC, and/or LMFT—essential for maintaining our standard of excellence.
  • Bilingual or Spanish-speaking abilities—preferred, as they enhance our ability to serve our diverse community effectively.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychotherapy, showcasing your proven expertise and dedication to patient care.
